THE Queen and Prince Philip have waved off the King and Queen of Spain on their final day of their three-day state visit to the UK. Meanwhile Queen Elizabeth looked elegant in a light blue floral frock. The Spanish royals spent their last night at the Palace enjoying a state banquet at Guildhall alongside British royals including Princess Anne after a visit to Westminster Abbey with Prince Harry. This is the first state visit to Britain by the current King Felipe VI, 49, and Queen Letizia, 44, the last being in 1986 with King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia.Last night the Spanish royals were thrown a lavish state banquet in the ballroom of Buckingham Palace where they were staying with the Queen. The Duchess of Cambridge met her royal fashion rival during the banquet, which was also attended by Prince William and Prince Harry. Earlier on Thursday, Prince Harry took them around Westminster Abbey and King Felipe laid a wreath at the Grave of the Unknown Warrior.The royal red carpet was rolled out on Wednesday as the Queen and her husband Philip treated the Spanish King and Queen to a military spectacle full of pomp and pageantry at Horse Guards Parade, Henry VIII's former jousting yard. But the visit was also fuelled by controversary, with Tory MPs threatening to walkout if King Felipe made a claim to British overseas territory Gibraltar during his Westminster speech.
