Personnel changes at the White House are continuing amid the news that a press aide has resigned under somewhat tumultuous circumstances, reports BuzzFeed News.

According to Politico, Anthony Scaramucci, the newly named communications director, confirmed to the media outlet “early Tuesday that he planned to start by dismissing assistant press secretary Michael Short at a morning meeting.”
However, Short himself appeared to have been unaware of the decision with CNN’s Jeremy Diamond quoting him as saying, “No one has told me anything and the entire premise is false.”
Diamond then added his own commentary, saying, “Looks like Scaramucci is firing ppl without telling them first.”
Scaramucci was later heard complaining to reporters about the news getting out, saying, “This is actually a terrible thing. Let’s say I’m firing Michael Short today. The fact that you guys know about it before he does really upsets me as a human being, and as a Roman Catholic. You got that?”
He continued, “I should have the opportunity if I have to let somebody go to let the person go in a very humane, dignified way, and then the next thing... is help the person get a job somewhere, OK, because he probably has a family, right? So now you guys are talking about it, it's not fair."
Scaramucci then explained, “So here’s the problem with the leaking, why I have to figure out how to get the leaking to stop, because it hurts people.”
He added that he would put an end to leaks by firing everybody--which he says he has President Trump’s full backing to do.
Short ultimately stepped down from the position, telling BuzzFeed News, “Yes I resigned this morning effective immediately. It was a privilege to serve the President of the United States.”
However, he has denied leaking information. Politico quotes him as saying, “Allegations I ever leaked anything are demonstrably false.”
