Police pepper spray protesters in Ankara

Police pepper-sprayed and detained a group of peaceful protesters in Ankara’s Kizilay district, taking in 22 demonstrators, reportedly calling for improved working rights, for police questioning. Heavily armored riot police quickly intervened in the allegedly unauthorized rally, spraying the protesters point blank with pepper spray before removing them from the site to nearby police vans.
