England pulled off a pulsating victory in the women’s cricket World Cup final at a packed Lord’s against a talented Indian side.

England took the crease first and underwhelmed with the bat scoring a chaseable 229.

India were well on course at 191 for 3, cue Anja Shrubsole who got Punam Raut lbw for 86, which lit the fuse for a collapse.

Shrubsole went on to dish up a devastating spell of 5-11 in 19 deliveries to spark ecstatic celebrations.
