Trump Slams Media, Blames New York Times For Foiled Attempt To Kill ISIS Leader

President Trump slammed the New York Times and other media outlets in a tweetstorm Saturday morning.
President Trump was quite active on Twitter Saturday morning.
He covered a wide range of topics, including a head-scratching tweet about the New York Times and the leader of the Islamic State militant group (ISIS), Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.
Trump tweeted, "The Failing New York Times foiled U.S. attempt to kill the single most wanted terrorist, Al-Baghdadi.Their sick agenda over National Security."
The president didn't provide any specifics about the "foiled" attempt.
Amid recent speculation that Baghdadi may have been killed, the Times did publish a story (also covered by other outlets) on Friday, citing Defense Secretary Jim Mattis, that the ISIS leader is still believed to be alive.
The piece quotes Mattis, “I think Baghdadi is alive...I’ll believe otherwise when we know we have killed him. We are going after him.”
Trump took aim at other publications as well on Saturday.
He tweeted, "A new INTELLIGENCE LEAK from the Amazon Washington Post, this time against A.G. Jeff Sessions. These illegal leaks, like Comey's, must stop!"
The president also wrote, "While all agree the U. S. President has the complete power to pardon, why think of that when only crime so far is LEAKS against us.FAKE NEWS."
