Pakistani pacer Hasan Ali equaled record held by Shahid Afridi. Ali picked up 13 wickets and his record matches exactly with that of former Pakistani captain Shahid Afridi. The 23-year-old is the second cricketer from the country to receive the Player of the Tournament award in a major ICC event while Afridi was the first Pakistani to get the award in an ICC event. He achieved the feat way back in 2007 in the inaugural edition of T20 World Cup. However, Afridi led team lost in the final to MS Dhoni’s men who lifted the trophy. But Hasan’s contribution helped Pakistan to win the trophy.
