Kawaii Felting: Macaron Needle Felting Tutorial

In this video, I will show you how to make a cute (kawaii) french macaron out of felting wool, using needle felting. This is an easy needle felting tutorial for beginners.

Supplies:
5 g of pink wool (or any color of your choice)
0.5 g of white wool (or any color of your choice)
less than 0.5 g of black wool
felting pen
felting needle
felting mat
2 eye pins
2 small rhinestones
1 jump ring
1 keychain
Time required: Approximately 40 minutes when using a felting pen.
It will take longer if you use just a felting needle.

♥ WHAT IS NEEDLE FELTING?

♥ HOW MUCH TIME DOES IT TAKE TO MAKE SOMETHING BY NEEDLE FELTING?
It can take about 10-20 minutes to create a very basic small heart or felt ball, to a few hours to create a more complex piece. The smaller and less complex the piece, the less time it will take to felt. Also, if you use a felting pen or a felting tool with multiple needles, it will significantly speed up the process.
♥ WHAT SUPPLIES DO I NEED FOR NEEDLE FELTING?
You will need felting wool and felting needle to get started. A felting mat is helpful but you can try using a folded up bath towel or a household sponge if you do not have a felting mat. It is also useful to get a felting pen, and felting thimbles. A felting pen will speed up the process and felting thimbles will protect your fingers. I purchase most of my supplies from Daiso, the Japanese version of the “dollar store.” However, you can also purchase them from Etsy, or Amazon!
