Counting of votes for the Presidential Elections 2017 between the NDA candidate Ram Nath Kovind and Opposition led by Congress candidate Meira Kumar will be held under the supervision of the Lok Sabha secretary general Anoop Mishra, who is also the Returning Officer. First, the votes would be vetted and the invalid ones removed by the counting staff.
