Baby giraffe Julius dies at Maryland Zoo

The Maryland Zoo announced the loss of one its beloved giraffes, baby Julius. Julius, who was first born on June 15, has been fighting for his life since birth. The giraffe was unable to learn how to nurse and was receiving a life supporting solution called total parenteral nutrition through an IV. Unfortunately, his condition went downhill overnight forcing veterinarians to euthanize the calf.
