More than 40 inbound flights to Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport in Sichuan, Southwestern China, had to be cancelled as severe rain and thunderstorms buffeted the area on July 13.Approximately 9.4 millimetres of rain fell on Chengdu within one hour, and sparks were reportedly seen coming from electrical substations drenched in the storm near Chunxi road, Chengdu.This video shows heavy rainfall on Chunxi road during the storm.
