Two small seal pups have been shown off to the public in the Marine Mammal Rehabilitation Centre of Leningrad Region, Russia, following their rescue last month. “One of the pups was found in Leningrad region in March. He crawled quite a long distance on the ice, so his front flippers were erased, there was no skin there, no hair on the abdomen and chest also, because of frostbite,” said a researcher from the Baltic Seals’ Friends Fund.
