'Walking Dead' stuntman John Bernecker suffered a serious head injury after falling on set Wednesday. Bernecker fell 20 feet onto a concrete floor. A coroner confirmed his time of death to be 6:30 pm on July 12. A spokesperson from AMC released a statement after the network halted production in the wake of the accident: We are saddened to report that John Bernecker, a talented stuntman for The Walking Dead and numerous other television shows and films, suffered serious injuries from a tragic accident on set. Bernecker has done stunts for '24: Legacy,' 'The Fate of the Furious,' and 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2.'
