Trump says Russia and "other people" interfered in US election

A day before meeting Russian President Vladimir Putin during a Group of 20 summit in Germany, President Donald Trump said that while he accepts that Russia may have been involved in the interference of the 2016 presidential election, it may not have been the only country. “I’ve said it very simply. I think it could very well have been Russia. I think it could well have been other countries. I won’t be specific. But I think a lot of people interfere,” Trump said. “Nobody really knows. Nobody really knows for sure.” Trump directed his ire toward former President Barack Obama. "Why did he do nothing about it? He was told it was Russia by the CIA ... and he did nothing about it," Trump said. "I think what happened was he thought Hillary Clinton was going to win the election and he said let's not do anything about it. Had he thought the other way, he would have done something about it."
