Russian Tanks “Dance” In Celebration

by Andrew CaringiIn Russia, even military tanks can get their own ceremonial “waltz.” To mark the 75th anniversary of the Kantemirovskaya Division, Russia’s most elite tank unit, the tanks performed their own “dance” to celebrate with fans and veterans. The Kantemirovskaya Division was founded in 1942 and immediately fought on the front lines of World War II. While anniversaries were usually modest celebrations in the past, there has been a growing interest in celebrating Russia’s military history, and thus performances like these have become more popular. While these T-80U tanks might have more fun dancing the night away, they still have responsibilities outside of the ceremonial waltz. Russia still deploys many of these lethal weapons to war zones.
