Islamic State fighters were cornered in a small area of Mosul’s Old City as the Iraqi military edged closer to retaking the entire city on Monday, July 3.On Monday, police said that the military had taken control of the Bab al-Sarai district on the western banks of the Tigris, as well as a transportation area inside the Old City.
