Ever since the news of the Malayalam film Bangalore Days being remade in Tamil started doing the rounds, speculations as to who would play the lead roles, have been rife. It was first reported that the now ex-jodi of Siddharth and Samantha would essay Fahadh Faasil and Nazriya's roles in the Tamil version. But post their break-up, the duo announced on Twitter that they were no longer part of the project.
But now, a source reveals that Rana Daggubati has been roped in to play Fahadh's role in the remake. "The makers have chosen Rana, while Sri Divya has replaced Samantha," informs the source. When we tried contacting Rana, his manager, Viren Thambidorai confirmed, "Yes, he will be doing the film."
As reported earlier, Arya and Simhaa will also be part of this film. Arya will do Dulquer Salmaan's role and Simhaa, Nivin Pauly's. "The film, being directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar, will be shot from March 20 in Chennai. The team is likely to go to Singapore for the second schedule as the makers have planned to set the story in Singapore instead of Bangalore. Santhosh Narayanan will compose music for the film."
