by Anthony FalcoToyota has designed a human support robot that can provide physical support for everyday activities. While the robot is still in the experiment research phase, it did finish U.S. trials.Among the innovation’s latest accomplishments, the HSR was able to help Romy, an Army veteran paralyzed from the shoulders down. Researchers set up sensors around Romy’s house, which allowed the HSR to open doors, fetch food and water, and help with other tasks.Although far from mass production, the Toyota team believes that domesticated robots could not only help the disabled, but could become a domestic servant in the future.
