Alphonse Puthren and Nivin Pauly's blockbuster Malayalam hit "Premam" was received well by the Kerala audience, but fans are apparently unhappy with the casting of its Telugu remake "Majnu".
Sai Pallavi, who made her acting debut as Malar miss in "Premam", was the most beloved character in the film, and Shruti Haasan has been brought in to reprise that role in the remake.However, Shruti is getting a lukewarm response from the audience after some photos of the actress from the sets were leaked online.
Shruti, who is often seen in glamourous avatars in western outfits, is seen in the leaked photos wearing a blue sari, leading to fans expressing dissatisfaction with the casting.
Some fans have also requested Tamil filmmakers not to remake hit Malayalam films like "Bangalore Days" and "Premam" as they cannot be remade and kept true to the originals.
