Alec Baldwin to return to SNL as Donald Trump...sometimes

Alec Baldwin and Saturday Night Live experienced a bit of a renaissance this past season thanks in large part to the Trump Administration. Baldwin received critical acclaim for his portrayal of President Donald Trump though he was officially part of the cast, something that will continue next season. The actor told CNN on Monday that he intends to keep doing the impression, though his schedule will force him to limit his number of appearances. Previously, Baldwin had been refused to say whether or not he would continue to portray the president, floating the idea around as recently as March.
