FIFA publishes probe into 2018, 2022 World Cup corruption claims

FIFA published their report today that looked into the speculation of corruption surrounding the 2018 and 2022 bids in Russia and Qatar respectively. The report, called the Garcia Report after lead investigator Michael Garcia, examines how the two countries won the hosting rights to the World Cups in question and found no indication of major corruption. Originally finished in 2014, FIFA chose to make the report public after the German publication 'Bild' started to report on pieces from Garcia's report. “For the sake of transparency, FIFA welcomes the news that this report has now been finally published,"
