In a bid to step up their stir for a separate state in the Darjeeling Hills, the Gorkha Janamukti Morcha (GJM) leaders have to quit the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration (GTA) on Friday. In the 20 June meeting, all the 14 influential political parties and public organisations of the hills had unanimously declared their support for the longstanding demand for a separate Gorkhaland state in north Bengal.The GJM has been ruling GTA since 2012 and its five-year term is set to expire this year. GJM supremo Bimal Gurung, who is in hiding, will also put in his papers.
