Ron Howard Will Direct New 'Han Solo' Star Wars Film

Maybe the Force is with Ron Howard.
At least that’s what LucasFilm is thinking, according to the Hollywood Reporter, because they’ve hired Howard to direct a Han Solo movie after two previous directors were fired for “creative differences.”
According to the Hollywood Reporter, LucasFilm says “We’re thrilled to announce that Ron Howard will step in to direct the untitled Han Solo film. We have a wonderful script, an incredible cast and crew, and the absolute commitment to make a great movie. Filming will resume the 10th of July.”
Howard’s first order of business will reportedly be to improve morale, review what’s been filmed already and figure out what needs to be re-shot.
Hey, Howard has been to space before with Apollo 13, but hopefully this time there won’t be a problem to tell Houston, or LucasFilm about.
