The Critics Have Spoken: 'Transformers: The Last Knight' is a dumpster fire
  • 7 years ago
'Transformers: The Last Knight' is barreling into theaters this weekend. Here is what the critics had to say: "Whatever you think of the previous four Transformers films, it is impossible to ignore the sheer malice that went into this new production. It is ugly to look at. Its characters are stupid – as in their decisions seem dictated by a level of subhuman intelligence – and grossly conceived." "Of course it’s not good. “Good” would only get in the way. The new 'Transformers' movie sits right on the beam, qualitatively, with the previous three sequels. So be warned or be encouraged, depending on your allegiance to the earlier movies." "The good news about the latest 'Transformers' movie is that — spoiler alert! — the world gets saved at the conclusion. The bad news is that it leaves the opportunity for more 'Transformers' movies." "Anyone attempting a drinking game whereby shots were consumed for each explosion would be unconscious within 10 minutes. Public showings of this movie, all 148 intolerable minutes of it, should be referred to as bludgeonings rather than screenings." The latest iteration of the 'Transformers' series hits theaters on June 22.
