Police declare killing of Muslim teen as 'road rage' incident
  • 7 years ago
Virginia police said the killing of Nabra Hassanen over the weekend was a road-rage incident. The 17-year-old girl was abducted in Virginia after she walked back with a group of friends to a mosque during Ramadan. Darwin Martinez Torres, 22, drove up to the teens as they were walking and got into an argument with a teen on a bike. Torres then found the group in a nearby parking lot before chasing them down by foot with a baseball bat, allegedly striking Nabra multiple times. Police found the body of the Muslim teen at a pond near Torres' apartment complex.
