NASA's Kepler space telescope just announced 219 new possible planets, and ten of those are the right size and in the right spot to support life. That is, they're close enough to their star to contain liquid water. In the last four years, the Kepler space telescope has discovered more than 4,000 potential planets, and up to 50 of them could support life.
