Behind the Lines is a brand new feature bought to you by Football Whispers TV. In each episode we hear from a different footballing icon from every facet of the beautiful game.

Guests on the show include: Frank Lampard, Paul Gascoigne, Henry Winter, Graham Taylor, Ray Winstone, Ossie Ardiles, Greg Dyke and many more.

For someone whose career was unfulfilled in the eyes of many, former Tottenham Hotspur and England winger Darren Anderton certainly crammed plenty in.

The player affectionately known as 'Shaggy' turned out 477 times in the Premier League and Football League, as well as winning 30 England caps and representing his country at two major tournaments – including the 1996 European Championships in the UK.

Anderton spoke about his career at Spurs, where he spent 12 memorable years and won the League Cup, his time with England, reaching the semi-finals of the 1996 Euros and the 1998 World Cup in France, how he felt about being called 'Sicknote' and what it meant to leave White Hart Lane.
