Twitteratis rage war against CBFC for giving ‘Phullu’ A certificate
  • 7 years ago
Our ‘sanskari’ CBFC makes sure that no film gets released without a few hiccups. And the latest one to fall victim to CBFC’s prehistoric filters is the upcoming movie ‘Phullu’.
It has been given adult certificate because it speaks about menstruation, which still is a taboo in India and has a lot of stigmas attached to it. We wonder what contents of the movie made CBFC limit the audience to adults only even when schools are working to aware students about cycles.
But the makers of ‘Phullu’ are not going down without a fight. And even Twitteratis are slamming CBFC’s outdated certification methods by asking CBFC that what is so ‘adult’ about periods?
Well, we wonder what’ll happen to Akshay Kumar’s ‘Padman’ which also deals with the same topic
