A Roundup of Bill Cosby's Trial Now that the Defense Rested

Now that the defense for Bill Cosby has rested – after calling just one witness to the stand – it’s time to talk about what we know.

Cosby chose not to testify in his own defense, putting an end to speculation over whether he’d take the stand in his ongoing sex assault trial.

The comedian also confirmed to the judge that it was also his wish that no other witnesses be called to the stand.

His lawyers even made a motion for acquittal because the victim told the police that the alleged assault occurred on two different dates.

The judge denied the motion, stating that the statue of limitations would still apply.

His wife Camille arrived with the 79 year old on the last day of testimony. His co-star from The Cosby Show, Keisha Knight Pulliam, walked into the courtroom with him on the first day of his trial.

Cosby faces up to 30 years in prison if convicted.
