University tells students to stop pooping in bins and showers

GLASGOW, SCOTLAND — Managers at one of Scotland’s best universities are asking students to stop a filthy habit — pooping in trash cans and showers.

According to Glasgow tabloid The Daily Record, managers at the university’s Technology and Innovation Center sent out an email to students asking them to stop defecating in bins and showers.

“Given the incidence of people pooing in bins, showers and the likes – can I please remind all TIC occupants that the toilets have been provided for that specific purpose,” states a memo from the building’s operations management team obtained by the Daily Record.

“All bodily fluids, solids and toilet paper must be disposed of down the toilet. “While I appreciate that the TIC population is multi-cultural and different countries have different practices, here in the UK the accepted practice is to use only the WC.”

That reference to other countries and cultures, upset staff at the university and prompted an apology from the university administration.

“We’ve apologised for any offence caused to colleagues,” a spokeswoman for the university told the Daily Record. “The email contained sentiments completely contrary to our institutional values and should not have been sent.”
