President Trump recently praised Qatar for its efforts in combating terrorism, Qatari Finance Minister Ali Shareef al Emadi told CNBC. While Trump blasted the country for funding terrorist organizations, apparently, the president took on a different tone during his visit to the Middle East. "He started his speech by really praising Qatar...Qatar is really an important partner and actually combating terrorism and money laundering and the war," Emadi said during the interview. The White House did not yet respond or verify the legitimacy of Trump's alleged statements.
