Tokyo is getting a bunch of new sports when it hosts the Summer Olympics in 2020, including 3-on-3 basketball, something that was played in the Youth Olympics in 2010 and 2014. Other sports added by the International Olympic Committee on Friday were BMX Freestyle, team fencing, a men's 800-meter freestyle, a women's 1500-meter freestyle and the team cycling madison event. While a lot event shave been added, some have been taken away as well, like men's boxing, canoe, rowing, shooting and weightlifting. The IOC made headlines last year when they announced the first round of sports to be added, with baseball and softball making a welcome return.
