Bush Pilot Wants Others To Learn From Close Call

Alaskan bush pilots are among the most qualified aviators in the world, but Mother Nature can beat even the best! After logging hundreds of hours in his experimental, heavily-modded SQ2 plane, Tom Hudzinski sees his hard work undone at the Talkeetna Fly-In's Slow Speed Competition.

Though Tom's something of a legend with winning speeds as low as 17mph, when headwind suddenly vanishes, his SQ2 stalls and nearly smashes machine and pilot. Miraculously unhurt, Tom has already begun rebuilding his prized aircraft and shared his close call to hopefully save another pilot a hard landing. Kind friends have also launched a GoFundMe campaign to help ease their buddy's burden.
