After 18 years as the head football coach of University of Oklahoma, Bob Stoops is retiring, according to ESPN. The 56-year-old Stoops compiled a 190-48 record over his Oklahoma career, taking the program to a bowl game every year, including winning one of their four appearances in the National Championship game. "After 18 years at the University of Oklahoma, I've decided to step down as the head football coach...I feel the timing is perfect to hand over the reins. The program is in tremendous shape." Lincoln Riley, the team's offensive coordinator under Stoops for the past two years, will become the team's new head coach.
