BREAKING: Ferries between Denmark and Germany EVACUATED over telephone threat
FERRY operator Scandlines has evacuated all its ferries in the Danish town Rodby and suspended ferry traffic between Denmark and Germany due to security reasons following a telephone threat. Scandlines spokeswoman Anette Ustrup Svends confirmed that services had been stopped between Puttgarden and Rodby and Rostock and Gedser as police searched the boats.Services between Elsinore, in Denmark and Helsingborg in Sweden were also paralysed.By 1pm, traffic was reopened and ferries were allowed to operate.  The local police said in a statement: “Police have checked out the first ferries and after inspection they have been authorised to start again.“The police will still be present and conduct further studies in the area and the ships.”Police Inspector Kim Kliver said that events had taken place and without drama.
