A touching video has emerged from the US of a high school graduate getting surprise tickets for the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
The footage, captured at a home in Oakley, IL, shows Shannon opening an envelope and getting emotional when she realises she is seeing her favourite band.
''We just arrived home from our daughter, Shannon's high school graduation,'' the filmer later wrote online.
''She had been given a envelope from her teacher that she written to herself back in 8th grade. I told her that I wanted her to read it to the family so I could record it.''
''Inside she discovered concert tickets for her favourite band, the Red Hot Chili Peppers,'' she added.
