A lion cub was found walking alone through the centre of the Russian city of Ufa on Tuesday before a passer-by managed to tie the cub, who was wearing a collar, to the fence. The Emergencies Ministry was contacted and animal control experts were sent to deal with the lion, who will now be sheltered temporarily at the Park of Foresters. It is currently unknown how the lion got onto the streets or who its previous owner was.
