The reason behind retailers offering discounts of up to 40 percent on various electronic goods and home appliances to consumers is to clear out all the old inventories to trim their losses ahead of the roll out of Goods and Services tax GST on 1 July.
ದೇಶದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಜಿಎಸ್ಟಿ ಚರ್ಚೆ ಬಿರುಸಾಗಿ ನಡೆದಿದ್ದು, ಜುಲೈ 1ರಿಂದ ಜಾರಿ ಬರುವುದು ಖಚಿತವಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ದೇಶದ ಕೆಲ ಕಂಪನಿಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಎಲೆಕ್ಟ್ರಾನಿಕ್ ಮತ್ತು ಗೃಹೋಪಯೋಗಿ ಉತ್ಪನ್ನಗಳನ್ನು ಭಾರೀ ರಿಯಾಯಿತಿ ದರಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾರಾಟ ಮಾಡಲು ಮುಂದಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಹಳೆಯ ದಾಸ್ತಾನು ಖಾಲಿ ಮಾಡುವ ಭರದಲ್ಲಿವೆ.
