Bill Skarsgard Made Children Cry on 'IT' Set as Pennywise

Oops, Bill Skarsgard’s role as Pennywise the clown in his upcoming remake of IT is so scary, that it made some child actors on set cry… So, we guess that’s a job well done?

The actor tells Interview magazine, “It’s a really weird thing to go, ‘if I succeed at doing what I’m trying to do with this character, I’ll traumatize kids… Hopefully, there will be a lot of 10-year-olds who will be traumatized forever based on my performance.”

Apparently Skarsgard was in a specific scene with some extra child actors who were not fully informed that a terrifying clown in full costume and character would emerge.

Skarsgard tells Interview, “So some of these kids got terrified and started to cry in the middle of the take, and then I realized, ‘Holy s***. What am I doing? What is this? This is horrible.”

Fortunately for horror movie fans, it sounds like Skarsgard is going to bring some big scares to the big screen… Just maybe don’t bring the kids.
