DADA SAHEB PHALKE ACADEMY AWARDS 2017 RED CARPET

Veteran actor Anupam Kher, along with Anil Kapoor, Juhi Chawla and Raveena Tandon bagged the Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Awards 2017 that took place in Mumbai on Thursday night.
The city witnessed prominent political and film personalities grace the prestigious awards. The Dadasaheb Phalke Academy celebrated the 148th birth anniversary of the father of Indian Cinema, the respected Dadasaheb Phalke.
This year, the Academy conferred the Phalke Icon of Indian Films to Anupam Kher, while Manisha Koirala was given the Phalke Brave and Beautiful award. Juhi Chawla won the award for best actress female for her stellar performance in the film Chalk N Duster while Raveena Tandon bagged the award for her recently released film Maatr. Actress Shilpa Shetty won the Phalke Style Icon.
Renowned filmmaker Subhash Ghai gave away the ever youth icon award to versatile actor Anil Kapoor. Priyanka Chopra who is busy promoting her upcoming Hollywood film Baywatch overseas, could not attend the award ceremony.
