Employers can cut off birth control coverage under Trumpcare

The Trump administration drafted a regulation to halt a federal rule requiring most employers to cover birth control for women in their health insurance plans. The White House Office of Management and Budget is now reviewing a final rule that will allow religious employers to deny female contraception to women. Under President Obama, the contraception mandate was ruled to be an essential health service. The law provided coverage to more than 55 million women and saved them nearly $1.4 billion in the first year the law went into effect.
