by Andrew CaringiPresident Trump is reportedly expected to withdraw the U.S. from the Paris Climate Accord, the world’s largest climate change agreement. 194 other nations have signed the accord, which aims to lower global greenhouse gas emissions. Signatories agree to reduce emissions as quickly as possible, report to each other and the public on their progress, and meet every five years to set more ambitious goals. Trump’s likely exit will not dissolve the pact, but irreversible temperatures rises may become more difficult to stop, especially if other countries follow the U.S.
