Bryce Harper suspended four games for base brawl with Hunter Strickland

Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper for throwing the first punch in a wild brawl on the diamond with the Giants' Hunter Strickland. The MLB gave Harper a four-game suspension Strickland was suspended for six games, however, both players have elected to appeal. Strickland instigated the fight after hitting Harper in the hip with a pitch during the eighth inning of Monday’s game. The Giants continue their series with the Nationals in San Francisco Tuesday and conclude on Wednesday.
