Terrifying footage has emerged from Mexico of a huge great white shark breaking a shark-diving cage.

In the clip, which was filmed on Guadalupe Island, the shark can be seen surfacing to take some bait.

It then heads back down and rams the shark cage from where the filmer is recording.

Amazingly, one of the bars of the cage breaks and the shark's head enters the cage for a few heart-stopping moments.
