Greg Gianforte apologizes for assault after winning race

Republican Greg Gianforte apologized on Thursday for assaulting a reporter after winning the Montana race. Gianforte allegedly body-slammed a reporter on May 24 when he asked him about the GOP health care bill and told him to Greg Gianforte The apology came after after the Montana businesses man won the state’s U.S. House seat. Gianforte faces a misdemeanor charge for the assault and must appear in court by June 7.
