Violent clashes in Venezuela as anti-government protests enter 50th day
  • 7 years ago
The 50th day of protests in Venezuela has seen violence erupt in the streets again. At least 46 people have been killed in the protests so far. Demonstrators threw petrol bombs and faeces at security forces who retaliated with tear gas, rubber bullets and water cannons. A 21-year-old man was set on fire and suffered burns on 80% of his body. Anti-government protesters believe President Nicolás Maduro is trying to turn the crisis-hit country into a dictatorship.
