India won the bid to host the FIFA U-17 WORLD CUP in 2017. Our U-17 Football team is created through extensive scouting throughout India where scouts picked out the very best talent in India. India U-17 team is currently on European Exposure Trip where they are bound to play the very best in Europe in order to prepare for the U-17 World Cup. After a poor show in first few games in Portugal, India now faced the heavyweights Italy. Everyone expected India to lose. Some might have at most predicted a draw. But what happened next created history. India went 1-0 at the half-time. It was hard to believe at first sight. And then in 2nd Half not only India dominated the game but created many clear cut goal scoring chances as well. India soon double the lead in 80th minute thanks to Rahul's clean strike. India won!! We made a big statement with this win that on our day we can defeat everyone. We hope India keeps this momentum from now on and continue the same in World Cup.
