Challenge Accepted: Georgia Southern Pitcher Overcomes Odds to Compete in 2015

Sun Belt RISE Program member Cesar Perez, a senior at Georgia Southern University, talked to Eagles redshirt sophomore Evan Challenger, a left-handed pitcher on the baseball team. Challenger's battle to return to the mound for the 2015 season from a UCL injury last season.
Cesar Perez is a senior majoring in multimedia with an information emphasis at Georgia Southern University. His minor is music performance.
The Sun Belt Conference RISE Program is a partnership between the Sun Belt Conference and its 13 member institutions that gives one student on each campus the unique opportunity to act as a standalone digital media correspondent for the conference office. Each student aspires to have a career in digital media and has worked closely with Sun Belt Conference staff in developing each of their stories to tell the stories of student-athletes in a unique, intriguing and most importantly honest way.
