Nearly 20 tornadoes spun up across Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas on May 18, 2017. Fortunately, the Storm Prediction Center issued a high risk for severe weather with an emphasis on large tornadoes the day before. People were prepared, and of all the severe weather across the country — from Texas to Maine — only one injury was reported.
