It's official! Katy Perry is the next "American Idol" judge. The show, whose original judges included Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, and Randy Jackson, was moved to ABC after being canceled by Fox in 2016. Perry. Ryan Seacrest is rumored to return to the show as a host, after holding the role for 15 seasons of the original version at Fox.
