Miss D.C. is crowned Miss USA 2017

Miss D.C. has won the Miss USA pageant for the second year in a row. Kara McCullough, 25, was crowned Sunday at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center on the Las Vegas Strip. McCullough, a chemist working for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, will continue to compete at the Miss Universe contest. The runner-up was Miss New Jersey Chhavi Verg, while the third-place finisher was Miss Minnesota Meridith Gould.
